Below I listed all the areas of development that children will learn while practicing all ten games from Transitional Games and Transitional Games 2 .

Motor Skills – Fine motor, gross motor, hand eye coordination

Early Mathematics – counting, identify numerals, distinguish between shapes, distinguish between numbers, direction of a vertical line, direction of a horizontal line, identify the beginning, middle, end of a line, become familiar with how to use a chart

Literacy – matching sounds to letters ( phonics ), matching uppercase to lowercase letters, blending 2 -3 letter sounds, distinguish between numbers and letters, distinguish sounds  (numbers) in a first, second, or third position called

Other Skills – following multiple step directions, ordinal numbers, ordinal positions, right& left
